Season Opener - AWAY

topic posted Tue, April 5, 2005 - 11:13 AM by  Daniel
There were plenty of cheap tix to be had for the Season Opener (not Home Opener) in Philly yesterday afternoon. It was a bit breezy (especially in the upper deck!) but not as butt-cold as Sundays exhibition game.

Comparing the two lineups, side-by-side on the scoreboard, made it very clear that DC is 2-4 years away from competing in the NL East. And that's AFTER we get an owner.

Bring on the Nats! Win or Lose, it's great to have a team in town.

I can't wait for the home opener! Can't afford to go but you are right having baseball back in DC is exciting.

I made a desperate attempt to get a seat by shooting for a single ticket, "best available", requested the instant that they went on sale. Score! My $40 seat was 9 rows behind the VIP section on the 3rd base side ... the guy next to me paid $400 for his.

There are 13 seats in each row, so single tickets should be available in every section for every game. Not that any other Nationals games will be that hard to attend!
